The village of Sudbishchi in the Oryol Region. Archeological excavation works at the Battle of Sudbishchi site not far from the village. The Battle of Sudbishchi took place on June 24-25, 1555 (Julian calendar) and involved a Russian military unit commanded by Boyar Ivan Sheremetev and the army of Crimean Khan Devlet Giray.
