Sculpture of Tamerlane [1336-1405] on display at the plastic anthropological reconstruction laboratory of the Soviet Academy of Sciences' Ethnography Institute. The sculpture is based on a 1941 forensic reconstruction by Soviet anthropologist Mikhail Gerasimov [1907-1970].
