Nikolai Amosov, corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences and full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, professor at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Tuberculosis and Chest Surgery, Lenin Prize Winner and Hero of Socialist Labor, heads the biological cybernetics department at the Cybernetics Institute of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
