

Vladimir Lenin's house-museum was opened on November 7, 1937, in the wing of the Orlovs' house, Kazan. The opening was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the October Revolution. The Ulyanovs lived there in September 1888 –May 1889 after they returned from Kokushkino settlement. Vladimir Lenin was exiled there for attending a meeting at Kazan University, December 4, 1887.
