First finds made at the Gothic Inn in Novgorod: a travel candlestick, a trading token, a bone-carved pen, a copper rod from a small scale, a toilet accessory, and five bone chessmen. The 12th century saw regular visits by by Gothic (Swedish) merchants to Veliky Novgorod.
