Kalmyk ASSR. The memorial complex for the heroes of the Civil and the Great Patriotic Wars on the territory of Druzhba (Friendship) Park in Elista. It was unveiled in 1965 to mark the 20th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The sculptor is Nikita Sandzhiyev, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Honored Art Worker of the Kalmyk Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, architects are brothers Dzhangar and Mingiyan Pyurveyev.
