The centre's employees control the launch of Soyuz-2.1b rocket booster carrying the Progress M-UM spacecraft and the Prichal nodal module from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, at the flight control center in Korolev, Moscow region, Russia. The Prichal was developed by RSC Energia to expand the technical and operational capabilities of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS).
