Ukrainian SSR. Urban-type settlement of Ivankov, Kiev Region. After the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on April 26, 1986, Ivankov became the initial receiving point for the evacuation of the Pripyat population. Nurse of the Union of the USSR Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Nina Silyava in the house of Maria Chaloi, from the village of Ladyzhichi, evacuated from the 30 km exclusion zone.
