The Ukrainian SSR. This monument to Vladimir Lenin in Kiev was unveiled in 1946 opposite the city's Bessarabsky Marketplace, now defunct. The monument was designed by sculptor Sergei Merkurov and architects Alexander Vlasov and Viktor Yelizarov.
