The Karachai-Circassian Autonomous Region. Lake Tumanly-Kel (Foggy) is located 1,850 meters above sea level in Gonachkhirskoye Gorge neat Dombai town. The lake lives up to its name, Foggy, and nearby landscapes are often shrouded in pea-soup fog. A tourist route makes it possible to reach the lake from the towns of Dombai and Teberda (via Teberda Reserve).
