Ophthalmologist and scientist Yury Utekhin, head of the laboratory of optical and physiological methods of correction and restoration of vision of the Research Institute of Hygiene of Children and Adolescents of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (now the Research Institute of Hygiene and Health Protection of Children and Adolescents of the National Medical Research Center of Children's Health of the Russian Ministry of Health). A patient wearing sphero-prismatic glasses invented by Utekhin, creator of many techniques aimed at optical rehabilitation of vision.
