In 2021, Tarusa marked its 775th anniversary. City Day is held annually on July 12, Day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. This time, the festive events took place on July 11-18. On Lenin Square, the central square of Tarusa, a large concert program was held, in which collectives from the city and visiting artists took part. Children - protagonists of the day - were dancing, singing, and taking part in workshops held by the Children's Art Center, one of the main organizers of the festival.
