In 2021, Tarusa marked its 775th anniversary. City Day is held annually on July 12, Day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. This time, the festive events took place on July 11-18. On Lenin Square, the central square of Tarusa, a large concert program was held, in which collectives from the city and visiting artists took part. The arch-priest of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul's Cathedral, Archpriest Leonid (Gvozdev), is speaking. The archpastors were co-served by the rector of the temple.
