Novgorod (today Veliky Novgorod). An element of the Victory Monument erected to mark the Soviet Union's victory over the Nazism. It was unveiled on January 24, 1974, on the day of the 30th anniversary of Novgorod's liberation from Nazi occupants. Design by sculptors Neroda, Filippova, architects Dushkin, Saikovsky.
