The white-red-white flag of Belarus used by the Belarusian opposition flies next to national flags of participants in World Ice Hockey Championships in front of Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija where players are staying in Riga, Latvia. Belarus is expelling the Latvian ambassador and other diplomats of the Baltic country over the incident with the Belarusian state flag when it was replaced by city authorities with a flag used by the Belarusian opposition. In response to the actions of Belarus the Latvian Foreign Ministry decided to expel Belarusian diplomats before the normalization of relations.
