In 1989, Channel One of Central Television broadcast six programs titled "Health sessions of psychotherapist Anatoly Kashpirovsky" (broadcast from the Ostankino concert studio), during which Kashpirovsky allegedly cured people from a variety of diseases. The Soviet television also broadcast a unique surgery when millions followed Olga Ignatova from Tbilisi who was operated on under Anatoly Kashpirovsky's hypnosis who was in Kiev then.
