The second conference of the Interregional Deputy Group held on September 23-24, 1989 (the Interregional Deputy Group is a democratic faction at the Congresses of People's Deputies of the USSR, the first Soviet legal parliamentary opposition). Muscovites gathered at the Moscow House of Cinema (today the Central House of Cinematographers), where the conference was held, and are seen discussing acute political issues of concern to the entire country.
