Sculptural portrait of Russian writer Anton Chekhov by Soviet sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR Yelena Kosova. Previously, Yelena Kosova was the first Soviet woman to work at the UN. A liaison agent in Vladimir Barkovsky's group, the future Hero of Russia Yelena Kosova helped collect information that played a significant role in the implementation of Soviet nuclear development plans.
