An ornithological service member Nika Ryzhova-Alenicheva holds a hawk at the Domodedovo Airport, outside Moscow, Russia. Raptors such as goshawks help control the number of birds at the airport and surrounding areas. Domodedovo was the first among UIA airports (Moscow Aviation Hub) in 2002 to use unique hunting patrol birds to scare away birds that could pose a threat to aircraft.
