A view shows a part of Ever Given container ship that ran aground in the Suez Canal, blocking vessels passing through, Egypt. The 400m-long container ship blocked the Suez Canal as it was knocked off course during a sandstorm on 23 March while en route from China to Rotterdam, Netherlands. About 12% of global trade passes through the canal, which connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and provides the shortest sea link between Asia and Europe.
