The view shows a fragment of the main entrance to the Pechenga Monastery that was founded by St. Tryphon, a monk from Novgorod, in 1532 at the influx of the Pechenga River into the Barents Sea, in the settlement of Loustari, Murmansk region, Russia. The monastery was for many centuries the northernmost monastery in the world. Above the main entrance is an inscription from the Gospel of Matthew: "My house shall be called the house of prayer" (Matthew 21:13).
