Representatives of the Albanian-Udi Christian Community of Azerbaijan are seen at the Agaoglan Monastery, in Lachin region, Azerbaijan. The second service was held in the monastery after the end of the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which resumed in late September. On November 9, the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan adopted a joint statement on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the trilateral ceasefire agreement, the Lachin region had been handed over to Azerbaijan by December 1. The agreement resulted in the loss of some territories controlled by the Armenian-majority self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh and the deployment of Russian peacekeepers to the region.
