Police officers detain a man outside Vnukovo International Airport, in Moscow, Russia. A plane carrying Alexei Navalny back to Russia from Germany was diverted to Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport. Navalny flies a Pobeda Airlines flight from Berlin after receiving medical treatment in Germany. He was hospitalized in Omsk and then transported to Germany after falling ill on a flight from Tomsk to Moscow in August 2020. According to Russia's prison service (FSIN), Navalny may face jail time on arrival to Moscow for violating the terms of a 2014 suspended sentence he was handed on fraud charges.
