Maia Sandu, leader of the pro-European opposition Action and Solidarity Party, visits polling station No 1/85 to vote during the second round of the 2020 Moldovan presidential election in Chisinau, Moldova. According to the Moldovan Central Election Commission, Sandu led the first round on November 1 with 36.1% of the votes, compared to 32.6% won by incumbent president Igor Dodon. None of them reaching 50%, the election entered another round.
