Test-engineer and research-engineer sit in a cabin of a self-driving KAMAZ-4318 of the Innopolis University during its tests in Innopolis, Russia's Republic of Tatarstan. It makes 2 048 paths 20 times a second and can drive in the off-road conditions without exact maps since it gets information about the itinerary from its own self-driving aerial device.The team of the Center of Competencies for "Robotics and Mechatronics" has created new algorithms on heavy trucks management, location system which does not require any pre-defined exact digital maps and new man-machine interface that facilitates the interaction between passengers and self-driving car.
