

The emblem of Buzuluk city reflects the most significant local economic sectors, including the machine-building industry, left, grain production, right, and oil production, center. The star denotes the Order of the Red Star, a state award of Czechoslovakia, conferred on the city in 1972 as a token of friendship and solidarity and in memory of the Great Patriotic War. In 942-1943, the 1st detached Czechoslovak Battalion, commanded by Ludvik Svoboda, was established in Buzuluk.
