Jewish pilgrims gather on the neutral territory between Ukrainian Novi Yarylovychi crossing point and Belorussian Novaya Guta crossing point, in Belarus. Thousands of Israeli Hasidic Jews annually arrive to take part in festive events on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, Jewish New Year, at the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov in the central Ukrainian town of Uman. Ukrainian and Israeli governments issued a joint statement earlier this year asking pilgrims to cancel their trip because of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
