The only 5th grade pupil Aleona Kutugina listens to teacher Lyubov Alymova during a lesson on the first day of a new school year at the local school in the remote Siberian village of Bolshaya Rechka, Krasnoyarsk region, Russia. The local school is the smallest one in a region with only 15 students studying. Bolshaya Rechka is located in the foothills of the Western Sayan mountains, where the road ends and taiga begins.
