Members of Russia's National Guard inspect the territory of the abandoned Usolyekhimprom chemical plant in the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye, Irkutsk region, Russia. A state of emergency has been in effect here since October 2018 to avoid a leak of hazardous materials. Russian President Vladimir Putin called for isolating the industrial site in Usolye-Sibirskoye and ensuring its protection by the National Guard and instructed the government to develop a roadmap to eliminate the environmental damage in three months.
