On March 10-15, 1970, the Belarusian SSR hosted the Dvina all-arms military exercise, supervised by Soviet Defense Minister Andrei Grechko. The exercise involved all service branches from the Moscow, Leningrad, Belarusian, Baltic and North Caucasus military districts.
