In this handout video grab released by the press service of Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects, the crew members of the Russian Navy Pacific Fleet's Fotiy Krylov ocean rescue tugboat descend the autonomous unmanned deep-sea submersible Vityaz-D into the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. Vityaz-D can dive to a depth of up to 12 km and overcome obstacles and find its way out of caves and trenches using artificial intelligence.
