The General Staff Arch is a triumphal arch dedicated to Russia's victory over Napoleon in 1812. It connects two semicircles of the building and is topped by a chariot that carries the goddess of Victory. The architect is C.I. Rossi, sculptors - S.S. Pimenov, V.I. Demouth-Malinovsky. 1819-1829. A view on the Hermitage and the Alexander Column.
