Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks to relatives of Leon Feldhendler, Polish jew known for his role in organizing the 1943 prisoner uprising at the Sobibor death camp in German-occupied Poland during WWII, after passing them the Order of Courage in Jerusalem, Israel. Putin arrived to attend celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Leon Feldhendler has been awarded with Russian the Order of Courage on June 17, 2019.
