Paton Bridge in Kiev in the Ukrainian SSR. It links Kiev's right-bank districts with Darnitsa District on the left bank of the Dnieper River. This is the first all-welded bridge in history. All of its seams, including assembly seams, were made using automatic welding machines. The bridge was designed and built in 1953 with the direct involvement of Academician Yevgeny Paton.
