Venezuelan opposition lawmaker Luis Parra seats at the presidential office after he was elected as new speaker for 2020-2021 at the parliament session at the National Assembly in Caracas, Venezuela. Venezuela's opposition leader Juan Guaido lost his seat as the president of the National Assembly to Luis Parra in a Sunday vote. Guaido, who proclaimed himself Venezuela's interim president in a failed attempt to oust legitimate head of state Nicolas Maduro a year ago, did not take part in the voting session. Opposition lawmakers later voted to reelect Guaido to the post.
