Soviet scientist Nikolai Leontyev, holder of two Cambodian orders, specialized in construction mechanics. In 1963-1965, he headed a group of Soviet lecturers at the Higher Technical Institute of Khmer-Soviet Friendship, now the Cambodian Institute of Technology, and also worked as an advisor to the Institute's Rector on orders from the Soviet Ministry of Higher Education.
