Governor of Amur Region Vasily Orlov inspects the new cross-border automobile cable-stayed bridge across the Amur River connecting the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk and the Chinese city of Heihe, outside the Far Eastern city of Blagoveshchensk, Russia. The bridge is the only road bridge across the Amur on the Russian-Chinese border and is expected to come into service by April 2020. The construction of the bridge began in 2016 and last May the two sections of the bridge were connected.
