

Leningrad city. The Arch of Triumph, part of the Main Headquarters (General Staff) building, consists of three inter-linked arches decorated with bas-reliefs and rimming the entrance to Palace Square from Nevsky Prospekt. The building was completed in 1819-1829 to a design by architect Carlo Rossi and sculptors Stepan Pimenov and Vasily Demut-Malinovsky.
