

Leningrad. Photo: The mansion of ballerina Mathilda Kschessinskaya near Troitskaya (Trinity) Square where the State Museum of Great October Socialist Revolution, now the Museum of Russian Political History, has been located since 1957. The mansion housed the headquarters of the Bolshevik Party from April through early July 1917. From March through early July 1917, Vladimir Lenin and the Secretariat of the Bolshevik Part worked in two rooms on the second floor.
