The Imperial Scepter, one of the main regalia of the Russian Empire's monarchs, was manufactured in 1762 for Empress Catherine the Great by Master Leopold Pfisterer. The diamond Orlov was added to it in 1774. The gold-and-silver item features 193 cut diamonds and is covered with black enamel. It is displayed at a permanent exhibition of the Diamond Fund of the USSR, now the Diamond Fund of Russia, at the Kremlin's Armory.
