

The Belarusian SSR. This monument in Kobrin city commemorates the Russian Army's first victory over the forces of Napoleon Bonaparte during the Patriotic War of 1812. It was built to a design by civil engineer G. Markov from Grodno and sculptor Wilhelm Otto from Warsaw and unveiled in 1913. The single-headed eagle holding a wreath was added by sculptor M. Kerzin in 1951.
