Russsian honour guards carry a portrait of WWII veteran Alexander Antsupov during his funeral in Novosibirsk, Russia. Antsupov, the last Hero of the Soviet Union living in Russia's Novosibirsk region, had stayed very active despite his age. He'd untiringly taken care about small rural cemeteries where many of WWII veterans rest in piece: inspired local residents to mow the grass, mount nameplates on soldier's graves, install wooden crosses and hand-made red stars - the symbol his brothers in arms had fought for. Antsupov died at the age of 95 on August 21, 2019.
