Yak-40 airplane of Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze is pictured on the territory of the Sukhumi Babushara Airport in Abkhazia. During the war he flew to Sukhumi in 1993. Shevardnadze did not use it to return because airplanes were knocked down. The Sukhumi Airport is located in the village of Babushara near Sukhumi, the capital city of Abkhazia. The airport was abandoned after a series of terrorist attacks on airliners during the Georgia-Abkhazia war.
