

Members of an expedition of the Russian Academy of Sciences who arrived in September 1901 at an excavation site where the body of a woolly mammoth was unearthed. The body was located in 1900 by an Evenk hunter on the bank of the Beryozovka River, a tributary of the Kolyma River.
