The St. Cyril of Beloozero Historical-Architectural and Artistic Museum-Reserve was established in 1924 at the St. Cyril of Beloozero Monastery. In 1957, the 1486 Church of the Deposition of the Venerable Vestment of Our Most Holy Queen, the oldest surviving example of Russian wooden architecture, was relocated to the Museum-Reserve from the village of Borodava.
