The Church of the Intercession on the Nerl, a masterpiece of Old Russian architecture acknowledged across the world. Built in 1165. Since 1992 the church has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Parishioners head to the liturgy on on one of the main holidays in the Russian Orthodox Church - the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.
