On January 23, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido declared himself the country's Interim President at a mass rally in Caracas, and U.S. President Donald Trump has recognized Guaido as Venezuela's Interim President. Then Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro broke diplomatic relations with the United States and gave US embassy personnel 72 hours to leave the country.
