A man carries candle to mourn the victims of a gas explosion, in the industrial city of Magnitogorsk, Russia. According to preliminary information, about 6 a.m. local time on December 31, a natural gas blast hit one of the blocks of a 10-storey building damaging 48 apartments. The search and rescue operation continues. January 2 was declared a day of mourning in the Chelyabinsk Region.
