December 31, 2019. Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs a meeting in the Emergencies Ministry's rescue operation headquarters on the site of the gas explosion in an apartment building, Magnitogorsk. From left: Mayor of Magnitorosk Sergei Berdnikov, Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova and Presidential Envoy to the Ural Federal District Nikolai Tsukanov. The explosion in a multi-storied apartment block occurred on Monday morning which caused a collapse of the floor slabs in one of the sections of the building. According to the latest reports four people died and 40 more are unaccounted for.
