The Volgograd State Museum of Defense (today's Volgograd Memorial and Historical Museum). A letter 32nd President of the United States, Franklin Roosevelt sent to the USSR in May 1944 in memory of the Battle of Stalingrad. On behalf of Americans, the President expressed admiration for the people of Stalingrad, the siege survivors, for their fortitude.
